They Are Probably Cutting Corners
So that DJ that is half the price of the others, why not go with them? Well the big question is trusting someone with your big day. They may not show up. I know, a little dramatic, but it’s true. We get calls all the time from frantic couples looking to replace the cheap wedding DJ or friend of a friend who was going to DJ. These cheaper options are flaky. They may get a higher paying event and decide to cancel on you. They may go out of business because their low pricing could not sustain with the high operational costs. They also may be cutting corners that could cost you or their business. Remember all the business expenses we rattled off? Well they can cut corners there too. That legal music every DJ must obtain, they might be illegally downloading their music. The high equipment costs, they might be purchasing cheap equipment which could fail. They are probably not bringing backup equipment in case of a failure. The insurance they should be carrying, they probably don’t have any putting you and them at risk. These risks just aren’t worth the few hundred dollars you may save. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your lives.
